Personal biography
Kavya is a Psychologist, Career Guidance Counsellor, and Life Skills Trainer with extensive experience in counselling, training, and workplace well-being. A Psychology graduate from the University of Madras, she has received specialised training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) under Dr. Ravi Samuel, a leading expert in the field. In addition, she holds diplomas in school, corporate, and family counselling and is a certified Career Guidance Counsellor
Her professional journey includes collaborations with organisations such as Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), First Cry, Complan, Fidelity, Crown India, MOP Vaishnav, Future Pathways, Ingram, Nokia India, L&T, Chaithanya, RamaKrishna, and the Puducherry Police Department. She has also been a panellist at the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) and served as a jury member on Kalaignar TV’s “Vaazhndhu Kattuvom.” .
Currently, Kavya works with Workplace Options, Lyra India, and Spring Health as an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Counsellor, Trainer, and Critical Incident Counsellor, and serves as an onsite counsellor at Nokia Chennai. Her work encompasses individual and group therapy, workplace training, and mental health interventions. As a certified career guidance counsellor, she also helps professionals identify their strengths, interests, and career pathways through psychometric assessments and personalised counselling. .
